Artplaces (2010) is an open publishing platform and a data base for non profit art spaces worldwide. It is a virtual location that promotes dialogue and reciprocal exchange, fosters communication processes, providing news and information on sources of fundraising. Artplaces proposes an updated and critical point of view on creative and artistic independent production.
Connecting Cultures presents the new web site www.artplaces.org and a data-base of independent art spaces all over the world. Among free services provided, that support and promote the cultural production of non-profit art spaces are:
- Focus, a monthly in-depth review of different issues and themes treated by Artplaces’ members.
- Platforms&Networks, an ongoing data-base on virtual spaces and realities without a physical location, that address their activities to the web.
- Funding, a tool for supporting the non-profit cultural production, promoting the circulation of information around financing opportunities.
NEW Home Page
The new home page is thought as a wall, built sinergically and in a creative way by Artplaces and web site’s members. Each art space of Artplaces’ data base will be able to upload news and images about their ongoing projects and events. The heading News bring visibility to the art places and inform people about what’s going on.
