It’s almost time for a new edition of Imagining Sustainable Fashion award, the first international competition for innovative models of communication in sustainable fashion launched by Connecting Cultures in partnership with C.L.A.S.S.
In 2020, stylists, photographers, designers, illustrators, artists and other creatives invited to rethink how to communicate the new generation of values of an ethical and sustainable fashion system, joined the open and international call.
In anticipation of the second edition of the award to be announced next October 6, we invite you to a webinar focused on some of the themes that emerged during the selection process, in particular those concerning the ethics of intellectual and cultural property, a very topical issue in an industry such as fashion.
On Tuesday, September 14 at 4CET, Giusy Bettoni, CEO and Founder of C.L.A.S.S., will moderate a talk with two leading experts: Anna Maria Stein and Caterina Niccolai, both intellectual property lawyers who will provide guidelines for submitting a creative project in compliance with current intellectual property rules.
Stein and Niccolai will address the following issues:
- How to present your project to the public: website, social networks, the web.
- How to avoid the disclosure of confidential information preserving any possible IP protection.
- How to legally prepare derivative works based on the copyrighted work.
- How to use, exploit or distribute content and avoid copyright infringement liability.

Anna Maria Stein
Anna Maria Stein deals with Intellectual Property, with experience in patents, trademarks, designs, trade secrets, copyrights and unfair competition as well as in advising on contractual matters with a focus on licensing and technology transfer contracts. She has been involved in some of the most important projects of the European Commission for the support of SMEs in the field of Intellectual Property, innovation and sustainability (including Worth Partnership Project and Eliit Project). She is member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and of the Licensing Executives Society (LES International).
Caterina Niccolai
Lawyer since 2006, expert in the intellectual property, with special focus on the audio/video Industry. She regularly assists producers, agencies and artists in the media industry in every aspect of their activities, from the conception of projects to the acquisition of rights, from procurement of financial resources, processing and exploitation of the work accomplished in all its forms and modalities. She deals with issues related to the protection of image rights as well as issues relating to defamation in the press and/or through cinematographic works and/or television and/or other media. The collaboration and consultancy provided to artists, gallery owners and curators allowed her to acquire skills in the field of visual arts, photography and the organization of cultural events.
